It’s that time again! We are excited to announce that applications are open for our third Jamie Kirk Hahn Academy for campaign managers and staff! This is one of the only campaign manager training schools in the country, and it is completely scholarship based. No candidate wins alone. It’s a fact, and the second most important member of a General Assembly race is the manager who handles everything from paying office bills to developing the field and fundraising programs. We need trained campaign staff on every campaign across the state if we’re going to make a difference in the 2018 election. We pair graduates from JKH Academy with qualified candidates in targeted districts across North Carolina, and together they help us change the face of power in our state.

The Jamie Kirk Hahn Academy will be held on November 17-19, 2017 in Efland, North Carolina. All attendees will be required to stay for the whole weekend. Some of the topics covered will be fundraising, field operations, candidate dynamics, and communications. This will be the largest JKH Academy ever, so please help us spread the word. All are welcome to apply!

To apply, please fill out this form and send an updated resume to The average campaign manager is under thirty years old and will be willing to work the 75+ hours per week necessary on a General Assembly race. Being a campaign manager is a tough job with long hours. Our goal is to give candidates and campaign managers the training needed to run a strong campaign. Preference will be given to applicants who already have campaign experience.

Applications to the JKH Academy will be accepted until late summer. Please let email LaMonique Hamilton Barnes if you have any questions.
