As a former state legislator, paralegal, educator and community activist, public service is a natural choice for Christy. She’s running for NC House District 98 to bring that professionalism and dedication to the NC General Assembly. Christy has a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Roanoke College and a Paralegal Certificate from Duke University. Christy has had many different careers over the years from secretary to quality assurance engineer. She is now an educator in a local public school. She also works on special projects for her husband’s intellectual property and corporate law firm located in NC House District 98. Christy is married to Chris, and they have five children in their blended family who range in age from 22 to 15: Matt, Grady, Will, Hadley and Quincy. Their rescue dog, Ashley, completes the family.
Christy is running for NC House District 98 to help make North Carolina a stronger, healthier and more prosperous state.
