The Lillian’s List educational internship program offers valuable political experience while helping elect progressive women, who are champions of reproductive freedom, up and down the ticket! We offer spring, summer, and fall internships. Interns have the opportunity to gain skills in development, communication, campaign services, database management, and other areas of political work.
In addition to daily work, our interns are encouraged to build and lead initiatives in their areas of interest that will enhance our effectiveness as an organization while teaching practical skills needed for success in a professional setting. Lillian’s List staff also provides interns with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Communications & Development Internship – Fall 2019 Semester
Lillian’s List is the only organization in the progressive community with the unique mission of recruiting, promoting, training and supporting progressive women candidates who are champions of reproductive freedom running for elected office in North Carolina. Lillian’s List interns will build a variety of marketable skills in nonprofit fundraising and development, campaign finance and strategy, event planning and political communications. Interns will learn to use the NGP VAN campaign database system. Undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in women’s issues or progressive politics preferred. This internship is unpaid and begins in September continuing throughout the fall semester for 6 – 10 hours per week, in blocks of 3-5 hours at a time based on the intern’s availability and schedule.
