We're accepting our next round of Interns. Lillian’s List recruits, trains, and elects pro-choice, progressive women to public office across North Carolina, building a pipeline of leaders who champion reproductive freedom and gender equity.

Location: Raleigh, NC

Schedule: 10-15 hours per week with a required 5 hours per week at our office.

Compensation: unpaid with potential for academic credit

Digital Intern

The Digital intern will work closely with our team to refresh our website and craft content for our social media platforms.  Candidates with the ability to deliver crisp, engaging content and have experience with tools such as WordPress, Canva,  Adobe Express will thrive in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Help create promotional content, including social media posts for our platforms
  • Design graphics for email campaigns and promotional materials materials
  • Assist with website updates and maintenance using WordPress
  • Write CSS Coding for our online pages via our CRM
  • Help manage website content, including event pages, graphics, and organizational updates
  • Support digital communications by troubleshooting website issues
  • Assist with basic IT and technology support for staff, trainings, and events
  • Help organize and maintain online systems and shared resources
  • Conduct research on digital tools, plugins, and technology solutions to improve organizational efficiency
  • Provide general administrative and communications support to the team

What you bring:

  • Familiarity with WordPress, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar.
  • Clear, punchy writing style and eye for visual brand consistency.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving political environment.


Fundraising Intern

Our Fundraising intern will help draft donor outreach, research prospective supporters, manage records, and assist with planning our organization’s key events. Strong writing, research prowess, and spreadsheet skills are essential, and prior experience with fundraising databases is a bonus.

What you’ll do

  • Help prepare fundraising emails, thank-you letters, and event collateral.
  • Research prospective major donors including giving history, contact information, and biographical details; update EveryAction records.
  • Assist with planning our key events.

What you bring

  • Strong written communication and research skills.
  • Excel or Google Sheets proficiency; basic database experience a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for advancing reproductive-rights fundraising messages.

Political Fellowship

The Political Fellow will support the team by conducting district and legislative research, tracking fundraising and field metrics, and helping staff our trainings. A background in political science, campaigns, or public policy, as well as meticulous attention to detail, will set applicants apart.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct research on candidates, elected officials, districts, and political trends across North Carolina
  • Assist in gathering and organizing information related to upcoming elections, endorsements, and campaign activity
  • Monitor news coverage, campaign announcements, and legislative developments
  • Help maintain internal political research databases and tracking documents
  • Support preparation of briefing materials, candidate profiles, and background memos
  • Create flyers/promotional materials for trainings, programs, and events as needed
  • Provide general administrative and communications support to the team

What you bring

  • Coursework or experience in political science, campaigns, or public policy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and discretion with sensitive data.
  • Commitment to building an inclusive, equitable political pipeline.
