Sophia Chitlik began her career on the Obama Campaign, where she was an organizer. Sophia later went on to serve in the White House and in the Department of Labor as one of the youngest Presidential Appointees in the Obama Administration. After her tenure in Washington, Sophia worked on expanding educational opportunities for high school students. Sophia has spent the majority of her career empowering early-stage founders, with a particular focus on women and BIPOC entrepreneurs. Her pivotal role in establishing North Carolina’s first Black-owned birth center, Aya Birth & Community Wellness, is a testament to her deep belief that the best policies come from the people who are most directly impacted by them.
