Karena Atkinson is from Goldsboro, NC and is an Alumna of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is a Motivational Speaker and Spoken Word Artist by the name of Rena Speaks; which is now a brand dedicated to empowering the voice and challenging perspective. Her brand has expanded to Activism, Advocacy, Mentoring and Creative Directing. Also, as one of the youngest named leaders of her community; she has worked closely with local politicians, community and youth leaders, working to increase community involvement and awareness of social issues. She is an experienced Political Campaign Manager and Consultant, as well as a Community Engagement Specialist.
